Alianza Electromecánica is a Mexican electromechanical contractor that installs production equipment and the electrical, medium-voltage, HVAC, plumbing and civil work a new manufacturing facility needs, under one contract.
When a manufacturer compares equipment installation contractors for a new production facility in Mexico, the key questions are scope, utility power, code compliance, safety, schedule and communication. This page lists what to compare and how Alianza Electromecánica handles each point. Our office is in Tijuana, Baja California, and we also work in industrial parks in other states, including Aguascalientes and Jalisco. Clients we have worked for include FINSA, Bose, Luxshare ICT and UNICEF México.
How to compare
Ask which trades the contractor executes with its own crews: setting and anchoring equipment, power and control wiring, medium and low voltage, HVAC and exhaust, process water, drains and gas, and supporting civil work such as pads, trenches and housekeeping bases. One contractor for MEP and civil means one schedule, one set of interfaces and one point of accountability.
New lines often need more power than the building has. Compare how each contractor handles the CFE service request, transformer pads, duct banks and medium-voltage switchgear, and who coordinates the energization date with the utility.
Electrical work in Mexico is executed to NOM-001-SEDE and, for utility connection, verified by a UVIE. Ask how the contractor prepares the installation and documentation for that review and for the industrial park's own requirements.
Ask for the contractor's field safety practices: PPE, lockout/tagout, work at height, hot work and daily coordination with the park and the other trades on site.
Equipment arrival, utility energization and HVAC start-up have to line up with the start-of-production date. Compare how each contractor builds the schedule, reports progress and handles long-lead items.
For US and international manufacturers, project communication and reports in English and Spanish keep corporate engineering, the local plant team and the field crews aligned.
Look at completed industrial work, crew capacity and how the contractor supervises the job day to day. References from industrial parks and manufacturers are more useful than brochures.
